On Wednesday, April 8, at 7 PM; Join us for "Clara Barton, Dansville’s own 'Angel of the Battlefield'" by Jane Oakes. Best known for her work as a battlefield nurse and as founder of the American Red Cross, Clara Barton made neighboring Dansville her home base for many years because of her close association with “Our Home on the Hillside” water cure. Drawing on diaries and letters from private collections, local historian Jane Oakes explores Barton’s life in Livingston County and the work she carried out from there.
