You won't want to miss our 2016 Fall Tour on Wednesday, October 19th. The trip includes a visit to the Eldred PA WWII Museum, lunch at Sprague's Restaurant in Portville, the Historic Palmer Opera House in Cuba ( including a Silent Movie Matinee with Dennis James and Ice Cream Sundaes at Intermission) and a stop at the Cuba Cheese Shop! The new Town of Nunda Historical Collage is now for sale in the Society's gift shop. The poster illustrates eight of the town's memorable landmarks including the Nunda Theater, the Erie Station in Dalton and the Union Block on State Street. Several of these images have also been turned into notecards. You will find more information in our f gift shop!

The Nunda Historical Society is now selling books and items on EBAY. Be sure to look for us!

Please note! The talk by Dr. Valgene L. Durham scheduled for Sunday, Oct 2 at 2:30 has been postponed until next year. HOWEVER- historian Tom Cook will be giving the talk " The Old Camp Grounds - a history of the Parade Grounds in Letchworth State Park" in place of the originally schedule talk. Come and hear about Camp Portage and the two Civil War Regiments that trained there in 1862. We will also have an 1862 pay muster roll from the 130th (1st NY Dragoons) on display!

The Historical Society Building is open the following hours - Every Tuesday 10 AM to Noon; and the 1st Sunday of the Month from 2 to 4 PM or by appointment. You can call 585-465-0971 for an appointment or more information.

Many CCC photographs from the Roy Gath Collection that is part of the Nunda Historical Society's archives have been published in a new book by Arcadia Publishing - "The Civilian Conservation Corps in Letchworth State Park." The book can be ordered through the NHS on eBay or through our gift shop.
